...but if you had to write a paper that presented Juliet as a heroine you might want to make a case for her as a martyr for love. In that case her journey starts the moment she meets Romeo and every attempt she makes to keep them together. Her final brave or heroic deed was to arange a plan for them to be together.... which unfortuately backfired. Romeo kills himself, and I don't know about you but, I might say that Juliet becomes the tragic hero, or fallen hero, when she decides to die. This is a modern reading though...but I'm sure it would be ok to have an opinion. If you're looking for quotes start with the scene where Juliet and Romeo ask for poison from the friar.

I never really saw Juliet as a hero. I dont really think there are too many heros in this tragedy. If she were a hero, she'd be a weak one, but her journey would begin when she first sees romeo at the party and he kisses her...that sets it off....anytime she defies her parents and acts with her heart is a sign of heroism i guess...but like i said, i never saw Juliet as a hero
