I have lived in Ausralia my whole life (19 short years) and as an aussie, I take great pride in this great country of mine (except maybe the deciets nd wrongful actions from our prime minister). Anyone who feels the same way?

I was a quest of your beautiful country in 1969! The only other place I have ever been that I would seriously consider living. All public officials do, and don't do things we want. In todays world, where they are under magnified scrutiny of a liberal press 24/7, it's impossible to be unscathed! In years past where it took several hours between the reporter filing their story and going to the public, the editor had more power over what went to press, and how certain officials were percieved. Today we see the fumbling and bumbling as it happens, no editing. The poor saps don't have a chance. That's why the good people who we need in office, won't run! They don't want the consant scrutiny of the press.
