I think it is ridiculous that people take everything so far out of context, I personally think it's kind of hot.

I think D & G knew exactly what they were doing and it surrpounded advertising the negative to get the postive. I don't think they intended to run this ad for more than a week at the most, that's all it would take for the womens organizations and others to call attention to it. Pushed it right to the forefront! Smart advertisers.

"Is rape in the eye of the beholder? Women's groups called this ad violent, the designers called it an 'erotic dream.'"

Some "women groups" really freak me out. See, I am a woman, I should be represented by them, yet, I am not. Women enjoy some violence or rudeness during sex, so, indeed exist erotic dreams of violence. Now, this add don't look like violent sex anyway to me. Yeah, the guy there is putting some strength on the girl, but again, some women like it that way.

So, if they think that it insults women as they are see themselves as objects, they are hypocritical. For instance, many "women groups" not all of them, are completely of the idea of woman enjoying sex, but they easily are offended by the idea of different kind of sex

I don't see what the big deal is. I think they're reading too much into the ad.
