to switch desks my friend who's in Hong Kong, and he told me to watch over his desk and told me to sit there. But my teacher needs me to give him some reasons of how sitting there would give me education. Please help me list some reasons for convincing him, thanks!

sfirst of all, why is your friend trying to dictate who sits where in the classroom? that is the teachers decision,,, whether to assign seats or allow all to sit where they wish to,,,,,,
i dont really know at all why changing desks would help your education, but some points might be
it would help you adjust to your friend being gone,,,,,,, if you feel better , you learn better
it the desk is closer to the door,,,, you could say you feel slightly claustrophobic,,,, and being near the door helps you feel better,
if its closer to the window,,,,, say the sunlight helps you feel better
basically come up with reasons it calms your soul to change desks, or makes you happy,,,,, and a calm happy student learns better

You need to grow up and the teacher should put your desk in the hallway!

Now, pay attention. You do not own any thing on that property. Not even the desk you sit in. You are there to study. Your teacher is there to instruct you.

If something as silly as a desk mattered to your friend then he would have stayed and protected it himself. Besides, if you are sitting in his seat, then who will watch over your seat?

Listen, you got brains, right? Well, why don't you learn how to speak and write Japanese before your friend comes back from HongKong?

You can't do it can you? Well, then if you can't do something as simple as learning how to speak and write Japanese, then you can't convince the teacher to switch your desk.

I am teacher and one of the only ways I would accept if the seat was closer to the front of the room than your existing desk. This could help you see better and generally students who prefer to sit in the front also get better grades.

Tell him that if you don't sit in there that you will be worried about it the hole time in class. Meaning that you wont get the full educational benefits from his teaching, because you will be to worried about when your friend comes back and you will be worried about the promise that you said you would keep.............
Then tell him that it's not a matter of the spot giving you education but giving you attention span to pay attention in the class.........
Because your not worried about anything else but the material your studying.

Level with your teacher in that this friend asked you to sit in their spot. If necessary, move the desk to where the teach wants you to sit.

why did he ask you to sit there and watch over his desk? it is for religious reasons? Is he supersticious? Does he have something hidden in his desk?
