The Mustang yet that's quite often because of the fact the final seem of autos for the previous decade or 2 has been the two too standard or purely flat grotesque (350z for occasion). as properly in case you desire to force and not in straight forward terms steer the automobile around you may get a stick interior the mustang. a techniques too many autos do no longer incorporate that super concept anymore. -edit- so a techniques as gasoline econ and reliability Mustang vs 3 hundred you're interior an identical selection in each know. with i might suspect an edge in long term reliabilty going to the Ford.

Hmmm.

PT Cruiser in top power trim = 230hp, 248 ft/lbs, fully loaded is $27,250 MSRP

Mustang in it's lowest power form = 210hp, 240 ft/lbs, fully loaded is almost $2000 less at $25,530 MSRP

These were comperably equipped cars.

The PT Cruiser is above the cost of a plain jane (no option) 300hp GT Mustang ($26,440 MSRP)

I believe for my money, I would go with the cheaper Ford alternative. It is the obvious choice, which is why the Mustangs are the big seller that they are.

Of course, it is your money, and your choice in the end.

I'll throw my opinion in the ring too. I'd go with the PT, if it was turbocharged. I don't like the Mustangs and never have. They are only a sign of some dumb kid who THINKS he has a fast car. Nothing makes me happier than watching a foreign car (like the Eagle Talon that was built in the US) whip the crap out of a Mustang (that was built with parts from Mexico) at the dragstrip. Besides, there are many upgrades available to build on the PT, and I'll bet there are some PTs out there that can take a Mustang in the 1/4 mile.

As much as I hate Mustangs. (I think they're like butt-holes, everybody's got one and they all think that theirs doesn't stink.) Keep in mind that a PT Cruiser is just a redressed Neon. It's good for economy, but it'd probably just frustrate you when it takes you 4 miles to get up to highway speeds. I'd go for the Ford.

2007 Mustang GT no contest... I would not buy either if you are going with the V6 only.
