I'm in the student body in my school, and I'm having (as our supervisor calls it) "imagination block"! I can't think of any ideas for the St. Patrick's Day celebration.

Sure, there are always the usual, dress up in green for class points or whatever, but those are sooo boring!

I have some ideas, such as throwing green plastic coins in a shoe box or something, backing up to a certain point each time, and for each coin that gets inside, the class gets 10 points... And the person(s) that has the highest score gets 20 extra bonus points for their class... ?_?

Any ideas, guys??? I know you guys are smart and imaginative, so can you guys help me with St. Patrick's Day celebration ideas???

** The activities must be able to be done by 30 students, on an outdoor stage about 20 ft x 10 ft.

OR if you have other locations in mind, can you tell me, because we might be able to use other areas, such as the basketball courts...

try a ceili(party),at a ceili we usually perform irish dances, pair everybody of,have groups etc, have each pair and grouping find an irish dance, give points to best performed one, extra points could be attributed for best resembling irish clothes and dances. a talent show or play based on irish events could be o.k, have a quiz based on st patrick and ireland, offer points for each correct answer and 10 points for the winning class/group or individual. hope this helps.

Set up a Blarney stone--made from grey painted boxes--over a drop of several feet or more. The person must lay down with someone holding the legs down so they can't slip. Then they kiss the bottom of the Blarney stone.

Have the Principal do it first, they are always in need of Irish Blarney.

Google Blarney stone for pictures.

And may the leprechauns make you dancing shoes that don't pinch.

Blarney Stone rolling contest, make a circle whosever stone is the closest to the center of the circle wins points.
Also decorate the stage with 3 leaf clovers hide a few 4 leaf clovers, whoever finds the 4 leaf clover wins points.
