ok Most DVD's are copy-protected so you will need to remove that a very good freeware is DVD43

DVDs are copy-protected. You need a DVD decrypter like daemon tools to crack the encryption code. Then you just click and drag the files from the DVD to your desktop. Then use a converter like SUPER to change the file type to a MOV or AVI file. Daemon tools and SUPER are free, do a google search

Best program to use are "ConeDVD" save DVD movie to ISO file, which keep any the menu and extra feature for you. Anytime you want to watch movie, just play the ISO file.
