You need to ice the area for 15 mins off and 15 mins on. Cover the ice with a rag or something so you dont do damage to the skin with the ice. Then, keep the area elevated as much as possible. I have also heard of a method of soaking a rag in Apple cider vinegar and placing it on the bruise which supposedly makes it heal much faster. I have never tried that method though.

Hi, i'm a nursing student. Bruises are actually formed because of blood formation in the area created by an injury. You can apply warm compress. Get a warm water then you can use a small towel then apply to the surface and massage it gently. OK I think that's enough good luck.
