If by "mind control" you mean large-scale manipulation, then it is certainly possible. Nazi Germany is a perfect example of how a leader can manipulate the press, government, military, and academic institutions within a country in order to establish a new moral standard in a relatively short period of time. Certainly, there were always a small number of hard-core fascists in Germany; but the uncritical allegiance to undemocratic and anti-Semitic principles was something that had to be generated by means of propoganda and intimidation.

In short no "mind control" is not a myth. Every one is conditioned to think the way they do from birth. Your parents, friends, society all have an influence on what you think. It even goes to the point where a person can cure themselves of certain diseases if they believe the cure will work (Placebo effect). As for hypnotism that only works if the person actually would do the hypnotized deed in real life (under some ammount of coxing). So you can't hypnotise someone into haveing sex with you.

Yes. This has been happening for years in several ways, but not in the way I think you meant. For example,
1) Wm. Hearst used "yellow journalism" to influence people by creating news and publishing lies.
2) William James wrote
"There is nothing so absurd that it cannot be believed as truth if repeated often enough." and
3) G Goebbels wrote "A lie repeated often enough becomes the truth."
The best example I have of this is the theory of evolution. It has been thoroughly repudiated at the scientific level, but it continues to be promoted as truth. It isn't. It is a lie.

Mind control is absolutely for real, there are countless examples throughout history: Nazi Germany, Jones Town and military boot camp to name three. Given enough conditioning the degree of control is probably limitless, BUT there is a catch: those being controlled must at some point subject themselves to the will of the controller[s]. (The exception would be children, or others unable to make such decisions for themselves, who are effectively subjected by proxy.)

I think that mind control is real. People can influence people so much to make them do crazy things. It takes certain kinds of people to be the controllers and those that are being controlled.

i am not sure i would call it mind control, but influence , yes,,,,,, some people in groups can develop what is called a "gang mentality" where they do things intiated by a leader or small group of individuals, things they most likely would not do alone ,,,,,,,,,often its not really active thinking, but simply accepting what others say/do

if by mind control you mean "influence" then heck yes!
propaganda & the media! religion! school!
I think the process starts out with a few people who think of similar ideas, then spread their ideas to others, and then these others elect a leader.

You can let outside influences determine your actions. But, in the end you choose who you want to be. Some people do have the ability to manipulate others, but manipulation only works when you allow it to.
