Adam Smiths approach to economics was much more realistic than Marx's. Communism would require an entire world revolution. Adam Smith promoted capitalism which preferred a much more "laissez faire" (let it alone) attitude toward business. Smith said that the best system is one in which each person does what is best for himself and the entire group benefits. Marx said that each person does what is best for the group and the individual benefits.
A great example is the United States. They are the economic envy of the world because of the government's lack of involvement in business.

But there are advantages and disadvantages of both Communism and Capitalism.
"In Capitalism, man exploits man. In Communism, the opposite is true."
