kinda all over my back, neck, shoulders, and kinda stomach and sides. I haven't slept much in the past few weeks, and suddenly in the past two days I've begun to sleep for 10 hours at a time, very soundly. And now I have these aches, and the weirdest thing is that up by my ribs, it hurts to even rub there. Could this just be because I've slept so soundly and the stiffness is radiating forward, or is it something else. And if it is, what could it be?

I do have depression and GAD (which is why I haven't slept in weeks) and just started antidepressants. Have never had body parts hurt to the touch like this before though without some kind of bruise (which I don't have either).

Body aches are a flu symptom. Are you sure you don't have the flu? It can hang on for quite a while and cause you to need a lot of sleep too. You might have slept in one position too long or rolled over into a strange position. It wouldn't hurt to see the doc and see what he says. If you do have the flu there are things he can offer that will help you start feeling like yourself again.
Take care!

It could be fibromyalgia... Do you get a lot of aches and pains? or is this something out of the blue. If you get aches and pains often with muscles, joints etc it could very well be fibromyalgia. If you feel this way often I would go to a rhuematologist and get a thorough trigger point check.

weird as it my sound but this sounds like a case of depression the same thing happen to me about a year ago and when I went to the Dr they could not find anything medically wrong. One thing they checked for was Sickle cell if you have someone in your family with this you should be tested. hope you feel better.
