How does DNA repair itself with feeling? What is the science behind this?

There is legitament research on this, im just looking for someone who allready has the sources.

DNA does not repair itself as a lone entity or with feeling??? Even gene conversion and the other oddities of DNA repair like "error-free" nucleotide excision repair are entirely dependent on proteins to the job. I would definitely like to see the data for this, it does not sound in any way legitimate.
