I'ts only happened once, and that was about 10 minutes after I woke up this morning - I felt unusually thirsty, I stepped outside to smoke. When I walked back in the house, as I was fixing myself some water - out of nowhere I broke out in a sweat, I felt "cold" in a strange sort of way, almost cold/hot at the same time, then I felt very very nausiated, this lasted about 3 minutes, and faded away slowly. I don't sweat easily, but my arms, face, stomach, chest, back- totally covered in sweat.

What on earth??

Sounds like a vaso-vagal response to something. Did you have some stomach or bowel pain at the time? Have cramps or any other abdominal symptom?

Your response might indicate that your heart rate slowed down quite a bit, which made you break out into a cold sweat. When/if your BP or pulse drops suddenly, even momentarily, you may feel very nauseated. If that should happen again, sit down and/or get your head lower than your heart level, give a short cough.

If it does happen again, you should probably mention it to a doctor so they can do an EKG and maybe a stress test. But don't worry about it. It may have been just a random thing.

It sounds like it might just be a cold coming on. I've had chills before with colds and strep throat. It may be hormonal, but you need to check with your doctor to be sure.

It sounds as if you have a virus going on. Hot flashes have never given me nausea and I have had my share of them.
