If you have two PARALLEL lines (like lined paper) and you draw another line through BOTH of them THAT is a transversal.
So.... WHen a transversal crosses __PARALLEL_ lines, the alternate exterior angles are congurent.

When two lines cross each other, the angles that are accross from each other are verticale angles. These angles have teh same measurement.
Two pairs of congurent angles called __VERTICAL__ angles are formed whenever two lines intersect.

OK.... so you have these two lines crossing...say lines ab & ef.... and ones accross from each other are 75, so how do you figure out the other two...right? That is really easy...

Pick one of the two 75 angles. It is next to another angle, right? those two angles COMBINED make up a line, right? A line is exactly 180. so between teh two angles, you have 180 to share. One of them already took up 75, so teh other has to be 180-75=105.

Now, lets say one of those lines had a parallel line.... line ab is parallel to line cd.... The transveral (ef) actually crosses them both. Now you know that two of the angles where ab & ef crossed are 75 & two are 105 on the one line, right?

Well because these twop lines are parallel, their angles have special relationships. Angles in the same position on different parallel lines are congruent. Its kind of like you can cut teh top lines off and lay them over teh bottom ones, thy are teh same.

So teh 2nd set of angles formed when cd & ef cross are ALSO 75 & 105.

I hope you understand.... it is kind of hard to explain without being able to draw.

#1. If m<6 is 75, without knowing what shape you're talking about, then its hard. It seems like its an octogon, therefore, every angle is 75 because it is an equiangular shape.

#2 When a transversal crosses _parallel_ lines, the alternate exterior angles are congurent.

#3 Two pairs of congurent angles called _perpendicular_ angles are formed whenever two lines intersect.

OK, the first part is impossible to answer. I don't have enough information to get the answer.

When a transversal crosses parallel lines, the alternate exterior angles are congruent.
If the lines weren't parallel, then the angles wouldn't be congruent.

Two pairs of congruent angels called vertical angles are formed whenever two lines intersect.
