Does asp pages have an Etag?My website are asp pages?

My website are asp pages.My job is related to seo so I always check for http head of a specified page.when I use the following tool to check my asp pages[http://www.webconfs.com/http-header-check.php].The result show asp pages without Etag.I know html pages have Etags.Why I can't see asp page Etags.Does php pages have an Etag?

Hmm, from the question, it doesn't sound like you understand how etags work. Etags are generated by the webserver, not in any html code. (By the way, php and asp are simply methods to generate html or javascript, etc), which is what your browser reads.)

If the server is setup to generate etags, it will send them when pages are requested, not as part of the page.
