They give reasons for their actions but it soon becomes plain for most people to see that these "reasons" are not the real reasons for their actions. We are never told the real reasons, but it is hard to think they are working in our best interests.

I believe that they are honorable men. They have done what they think is best for the country. What they think is best may not be what you think is best.
