Yes you can donate, and it's a great feeling to know you did something selflessly for a total stranger. Don't worry about the low blood sugar - they moniter you the whole time, and afterwards, they give you juice and cookies! Yum!

Just eat a lot of sugary foods before u donate blood, I think you wouldn't have any problems donating blood. I'm too light to donate blood, it's one charity I've never been able to participate in. =(
(I'm like 103 lbs if anyone's wondering why i haven't donated blood before).

Yes, you said yourself you're of age, and weight. The limits are there for a reason. Make sure you eat first, and have a nice cookie and some juice afterwards to up your blood sugar.

They will check you for anemia before they let you donate. They will also ask lots of screening questions first. If you are not able, they won't let you
I have given many, many times..... Only once I got a little "faint" & that was because I was really tired, gave blood, then went & did too much physical activity....

I used to donate frequently, but now that I've had breast cancer they won't take my blood any more.
You should be able to donate safely if your blood sugar is not too low. Drink lots of water before you go in.

Have given gallons and also started at 17. Low blood sugar won't be an issue. They usually give you OJ or apple juice afterwards anyway.
