how is it that oregon is the #3 seed in the midwest. they beat ucla, georgetown, arizona, washington state?

they beat all those teams and then won the pac 10 title blowing the other teams away and they are ranked number #3?? just goes to show you that all the decisions are made on the east coast or in los angeles. what a bunck of bunk! the should be the number one seed and they will win the tourney going away.

It is strictly politics when it comes to Oregon--the environmentalist capital of the USA.

Do they even have wood on their arena floor? Wouldn't want to cut down any trees unnecessarily would we?

They didn't win the Pac-10 title, just the tournament. The official title is determined by the final standings. With the strength of the Pac-10 this year, it was hard to truly rank the teams. UCLA is the best team in the conference, but not by much. Right behind them is Wash. St., and Oregon. And right behind them is USC and Arizona. Then, you have Stanford, and UW, who when playing their best can compete with UCLA.

I think because of the talent and strength of multiple teams, they looked at the final standings as their guide to rank the Pac-10 teams.

Their RPI is what it is all about. They played a bunch of nobodys in the preconference schedule. You have to be a PAC 10 fan to think they are a tough conference at that. They are lucky they didn't get a lower seed. Winthrop is going to wax their nuts in the second round.

Sorry, but you can't tell me that the Ducks are better than the eight teams seeded ahead of them. They had a stretch where they lost 6 of 8, and their non-conference schedule outside of Georgetown isn't that impressive.

They got lucky to get a #3.
