Can't do it on Answers due to the "edit my info" link being removed when the recent Answers Network feature was added. Can't do it with your primary ID either (the name that you first used to open your account with) but you can add sub-profiles by going to your email and clicking on "my account" and following the instructions.

3. Change your nickname.

Go to your homepage sign out then hit sign in as a new user
and type in the name you want plus new password if you want.
