Robber barons - their fortunes were built on the underpaid labor of immigrants working 12 hours a day for starvation level wages. And when their workers went on strike to protest, the robber barrons had the government use the National Guard to break the strikes.

A little bit of both, actually. Carnegie was a complex guy. Made a fortune building steel mills and gave a good part of it away building libraries and other charitable causes
Probably more of a statesman, with a bit of robber baron over the way he treated some of his factory workers.

Morgan was a banker, so robber baron, for the most part.

Rockefeller was the first guy to get rich off oil. His descendants have done some good things as public servants, so I won't go too hard on the guy. But he is probably more responsible for the current climate crisis than almost anyone in history (maybe Henry Ford).
