Why are you bringing up sad memories for me? LOL I miss Boone!!!!
I agree with the above though, they killed his character off probably because they didn't think it could go anywhere.
It was truly a sad day for me.

It was the creator's idea...BAD IDEA!
He got killed of by falling off a cliff inside a plane in episode 20,Season One. It was such a bad idea, if they hadn't done that, I would still watch the show without thinking "So bad Boone's gone!"
Boone was my favorite character!!!

His character was killed off. He did appear in a later episode though. Remember Locke in the teepee??

It looks like he was offered another series... just as the
actor who played Michael.
It happens a lot in show business.

I don't think it was his choice - the writers killed him off.
