girls, is getting your nails done fun?

Question

ive never gotten them done before. is it fun? what should i expect if i want mine longer? any suggestions on a french manicure?

I love it... i usually go 2 the spa so i get everything done, liek manis, pedis, waxes, and massages... it feels sooo super gr8 to b pampered fro teh whole day caz u feel special and beutiful!!! It is esp. fun if u go with friends caz u guys can joke and talk, etc... it is soo fun!!!!!! i totally suggest u go... esp. after a stressful day or week, it feels sooo relaxing!!!!!

French manis r soo cute and classic, esp. with teh white tips!!!!!

love it! i go once every 2 weeks for a "mani/pedi" like clock work! its nice to sit and be taken care of. also, my place has these great chairs! ahh, its perfect to work out a hard day of work's/school's effect on your back and neck. i love the chairs. french will cost you extra just so you know. maybe about $5 and some charge that per hand(foot). depending on the length of your nails for a french, they may do it by hand for shorter nails or air brush it on for longer nails. manicures will help your nails grow. they will make them harder to break and they will even them out. a lot of places have special polish that they believe helps nails. if you are worried about germs, you can always bring your own supplies, but those places are pretty clean and if you want fake nails, thats fine too. people will try to scare you about fungus, but i am sure you know how to shower and wash your hands on a regular basis. they are just like anything else, all about your own feelings. just know that fake nails cost a lot more so if you are thinking about becoming a regular, you need to budget. to get them put on, it could be anywhere from $25 to $50 and i have heard of a couple places over 50! ans then every 2 weeks, another $15 and up, it really adds up. but try it out, every one deserves to feel like a princess!

Its not really all that fun but if you go to a spa type place ut is . If you also go with some friends its even better. French manicures are great but it depends on how long your nails already are.

I think it's fun.

Acrylic nails are very bad for your natural nails underneath. I have never seen any salon that charged extra for French manicure.

I recommend getting gel nails. Unlike fiberglass, they will not get a scratchy texture that snags on everything if you bang them against something. It will take a couple days to get used to doing everyday activities with them but they are really much stronger than natural nails.

french manicure is the best if you ask me..you really should work on growing out your own nails. Fake ruin your own nails and make them super damaged and thin which can create infections under the nail.

Are you just wanting a manicure? or having acrilic nails put on? I wouldn't say it is fun. It is quite boring BUT love the way I feel and look when they are done.

All my girl friends love getting their nails done. I'm not against it but I am definitely against fake nails. I have pretty decent nails but after I got fake nails, my nails were absolutely disgusting after I took them off, for at least 2 months! Personally, I would stick to just getting them painted. Then again, some people love fake nails.

I would recommend not getting acrylic nails. They ruin your real nails, and it can be painful if they break or when you have them taken off. Just my opinion.
