I see Spain has erected a monument for the terrible bombings in Madrid 2 years ago. Isn't this, instead of a tribute to the victims, a tribute to the terrorists for pulling off a visious, heinous crime and having the Spanish government cave into them?
Whether you approve of the war or not, pulling your troops out after a terrorist bombing enboldens these cruds. Hey! They won that round; they causd the Spanish government to act just as they wanted them to.

They did the right thing. War is terrorism, and terrorism begets more terrorism. I doubt Spain will be a major target for terrorists in the future.

I don't think so.

It's a war, declared or not.

I visited Italy many years ago and there are dozens of monuments from World War II to people who either died resisting the Nazis directly or indirectly.
