A turbo V8, wow...

That would be cool, but sort of unnecessary. You can build yourself a really nice 350 or 400 SB, and if you build it for NOS you'll be miles ahead (even after buying all that laughing gas!) The turbo plumbing would be a nightmare...

Well, you can stroke a 350 to a 383 with a 400 crank. There are other stroker kits, even some for the 305. Personally if you are going to eventually turbo it, go with a 383.

Good luck and have fun with your project!

im in agrreance with doug. the 383 would be your best bet, though bear in mind you'll probaly have to change out the coil springs for higher capacity units, citing the extra weight of the 383,versus the 305. you didnt say which transmission you had, but if you go with the 383,look into using a th-400 or 4L80-e transmission, both are strong enough for the power thatd be made, and will bolt up to the 383.

Why would you want a turbo charged V8 in a OK condition 23 year old car? Sounds like a death trap waiting to happen. Sell it. Decide what you want out of a car and go shopping.
