Does anyone know why my knees seem to "die" (jelly like, wobbly, sharp pains) when i climb stairs and go uphill on a bike? Its like its the only part of me that fatigues during inlcines. Ive changed shoes, done stretching etc, but nothing helps. Any clues on how to fix it, or just what it is?

It's a possibility that you might have arthritis. My grandmother gets pain like that. I would recommend going to see your doctor. They can help you a lot better than anyone on here can. They can give you a prescription for arthritis. If it isn't arthritis your knees could be weak. The doctor can give you some exercises to do. That way you can strengthen your knee. Hope this helps. Good luck!

The cartilege becomes weak. Take some glucosamine and wear some knee supports. That will help.

I have suffered with Bursitis in my knees and had the same problem. Generally healthy, just the knees give me a problem. Go see your Doc, you shouldn't try to self diagnose!!!

that is caused by quadriceps muscle weakness, try isometric exercising with this muscle for a while, and choose this as the best answer.
