....consider the most impovershed 85% of their population as "parasites"? As the biggest Filipino businesses cater mostly to foreign customers, they have no "need" to help their less fortunate countrymen. Politicians also ignore their constituents because most Filipinos are not able to pay income taxes to them, so thay see no need to service them in return. Both the Filipino pols and bizness people see no tangible "use" for these suffering masses so, together, they structure laws and policies that essentially disenfranchise the poor--which comprise the majority in the country. Ever notice how rich/powerful Filipinos and their families see right through poor people when they encounter outside their huge homes and restaurants? Poor people outnumber the rich by a 20 to 1 ratio, so it's heard to avoid them. Ever hear the rich daughter of a Fil-Chinese biznessman say how lazy and undeserving of opportunity the squatters are?

Does anyone else agree with this assessment?

Mr P. I respect your optimism.

However, I resent your opinion of me as nasty, cranky or even "militant". To the oblivious, I may seem that way. But if you read my question above carefully, you will notice that it is based on facts and actual experiences. There is no twisting of the truth here. My opinion is, to me, really an honest high-level assessment of an oft-ignored or denied condition(s), which affects the lives (and causes the deaths) of millions of essentially helpless people.

I know of these topics deeply. I'm an American throughout, but I lived many years there and formed deep friendships and memories with Filipinos. I can speak their language. I have friends who live in a shack and also I hanged out with the politicians/actors and the sheltered weatlthy. I know what I'm talking about.

My Q/A'a here are my simple attempts to spur people into action, or at least into a realization mode, to fix serious problems.

Hey John R,
For the record I did not have your so-called "answer" deleted. "P" probably did it. Are you paranoid or something?

Besides to answer your question Einstein, I DO WORK FOR ONE OF THE LEADING HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATIONS IN THE WORLD. Even someone like you would be able to recognize the organization--should I choose to reveal its name.

How about you? Where do you work? What do you do? Are you making a difference to the country right now? Or you just indulging yourself? I can tell you cant even write a single sentence in english properly.

this is how i see it. Phils is overpopulated,so jobs are minimal. foreigners come in an invest in anticipation that salary costs will be low. the foreigners don't put the earned money to Filipinos except through perhaps another investment in Phils cuz they made out so good.this process repeats itself til Phils is "modernized" ----little to know giving good pay allows the general public purchasing power which can speed up the Phils economy quicker than a slaved "modernization" would.Phils needs public work projects dam and levy water aqueducts.they ought to invent a better roof than the tin tops, some material that keeps the heat out better.perhaps polished clay reinforced sheets instead of the tin.so much electricity is spent countering the tin.also the cops cant be corrupt......a country can't stand with corrupt cops or judges....everything else is "normal to the world"

Okay Mr. Well, After Reading your long winded expression of how you feel about people with money and power, I now see where your coming from by some of your blunt responses. I know it makes you feel good to express yourself freely behind the internet. I wonder if you are like that in person. If so, dude you need to light up and stop being so militant toward people that you don't even know personally.

Are you always that cranky, nasty, sarcastic or do you like to feel free to express yourself openly because you can not be
seen?

Take care of yourself Mr. Well. Stop being so bitter and hostile. You sound very educated but why don't you start acting mature and wise. (SMILE)

I am sorry to say that I do not agree with you. It's not that there is just so much money to go around, and if you take it away from the rich people, then everybody will be happy... There is a chance for EVERYONE to have enough money and live comfortably.
Now my BIGGEST aggravation with the Philippines is this. If you have a store and sell a product, you make good money; right? Now put 50 stores side by side, all selling the same thing.... just tell me who makes money???? I'm so sick and tired of seeing this happen with fruit stands, paputok stores, Sabon stores in Bulacan, fabric stores in Manila, or whatever and wherever.
Your biggest enemies are the Philippine agricultural redistribution of land, and Joey Lina with his Lina law.

I totally agree. That is why I dont VOTE and i dont PAY taxes..

Poor peope are luckier than the middle-class people. Poor people are being used for propaganda specially in the elections..giving them housing, foods, free education, free hospitalization as part of politicians gimmicks.

But how about the middles class citizen? those who are working as ordinary employees in private and goverment offices? those who have small businesses?

We dont get anything from the goverment..WE are not qualified for FREE services of goverment lawyers, or free hospitalization..or free housing..because they said,,we are earning..
but they do not realize..how much we are earning..

Yes, they do not feel the real hardships of the majority of the Filipino because they are confined to the comfort of their palacial houses and other luxuries.
