Your friend is spoiled. What does he want for $100 a month and some yard work? If he wants privacy then he should go pay REAL RENT and move out.
1) I live in my daughters' basement
2)I pay $300 a month rent
3)I mow the yard
4)I do their laundry sometimes
5)I baby sit my granddaughter for free
6)I provide my own heat.
7)If I were to ever have a 'guest' I would ask her for some privacy (it is called communication/respect)
8)all other times she and granddaughter can come down without knocking or do a walk through, I don't care.....
Tell him he needs a REALITY check!!!!

No! to be honest he should move out! if you dont have a way to close off your sleeping space in the basement then you should look for a place to live or get a room when you wanna get busy with ya gf. other than that do not stop doing the yard work help moms out, what do u expect when u renting out the basement for just 100.00?

If he's an adult, its okay to be with his parents living in the basement, i think that he deserves his privacy if he helps around in the family, and i think he does alot,
rent
grocery
yardwork
its good enough and i dont even have a maid.
tell him to tell his mom that, she can always knock before she comes in, or something.
oh i have an idea, if drops out in doing one of the tasks above, and does the laundry instead then maybe that way he'll be the only one going in there all the time

while living in his parents house, rather paying 100 or not, or helping with yard work or not, he should abide by their rules. He understood that the laundry facility was in the basement where he was to stay BEFORE he rented, and also the storage. I would advice your friend to go to a motel/hotel to play naked nasty with his girlfriends and be thankful "mommy" lets him stay there so cheaply. If he's THAT much of a manly man anyways, maybe it would be time to be weaned off mommy's nipple completely.

Talk with your mom and maybe request that she not come down when she sees a sign on the door, sorta like when you are in a hotel and you don't want the maid to come in while you are still sleeping. Or better yet get one of those (back in -- mins clock/ or signs that storekeepers use and turn the dial to when you want her to stay away until.

Sorry, but this will always be mom's house. See will come and go as she sees fit. If he wants privacy, he needs to get a place of his own. If mom wanders in his own place, then you got an issue.

FOR 100 P/MONTH i wouldnt complain!! and just do it,if it was ever going to happen, anyway. his mum/mom knows the risk she's taking walking down there, she might stop if she sees something she doesnt like! but tell him to stop sponging off his olds and get his own place, but its probabley not going to be that cheap.

when I got here out at age 12, I had few acquaintances my own age. lots of the human beings I knew have been human beings my mothers and fathers knew and that that they had many gay acquaintances. everybody grew to become into better than in basic terms supportive. particularly, there grew to become into no longer something to cope with.
