About 3 weeks ago i asked the question of- i traded a 1979 Honda CT70 that was in really good condition, for a 1977 Yamaha Enduro 250 that does not run.Is this an even trade, it will soon run and needed several minor fixes (points, condensor etc....) what do you think?- The bike now runs like its brand new and i was just wondering if any of you who told me i got screwed over and all i've got now is a boat anchor, would like to retract their former statement????

I didn't answer the original question but here is my take. Obviously you can do more real riding on a '77 250 Enduro than you can on a '79 CT70. As long as you're happy who cares what everyone else thinks. On the other hand, CT70's in good condition are bringing really good money these days. Vintage pit bikes a big thing now. You probably could have sold the CT and bought a newer 250, but like I said if you're happy with the bikes that's cool.

I think the CT was worth more. The CT was a four stroke and the Yamaha was a 2 stroke I would imagine. I don't know where you live but 2 strokes are getting harder to get registered where I live and can only be ridden at certain times of the year in state parks. Plus the CT was a classic.
