None what so ever! I can promise you that, you are going to be so surprised just how many Egyptians speak fluent English. Many speak 3 or 4 languages, if they are working in the tourist industry.
It is fun to learn a bit of Arabic, like please, thank you, etc.
You will easily pick up a few words of Arabic while you are here.
I have been working here 4mths a year and my Arabic is still so basic its a laugh!Especially with an Australian accent.
Relax and enjoy the experience of a lifetime.

I don't think so. Many people involved with tourist groups and hotels all over the world speak english. You could get a mini language dictionary though to learn some important words and phrases though.

No problem at all. Most of the Egyptians speak English as their second language, so this means that most of them speak English, no worries at all. Enjoy your stay in Egypt.

if you are only english speaking it is no problem in Cairo, some speak good English others will understand if you speak slowly to them, and if not they will always stop some one who can.incase they lose business.
you will get some good free advice from the myegypt.co.uk web site. and we do the cruises.
