I want to become a doctor and work in an ER...does anyone know how long I'll be in med school? I know I'll be in a regualr collage for four years and I was just wondering how long I would be in med school for.

four more, (two of classes and two of clinical rotations) and then a three or four year residency program, although at that time you are a doctor and are getting paid, although only about 45000. Good luck to you.
Also a note on that next comment, you don't need to be a surgeon. I don't know where he got that idea. Emergency medicine has its roots in family practice and internal medicine.

The same as any other doctor. Undergrad plus 4, and a residency. You must be a surgeon to be an emergency doctor, whcih is extremely challenging, have you considered being a nurse instead?
