1) too many split ends.......drove her crazy
2) bad case of dandruff
3) might have had head lice too

From what I have heard, Kevin Federline threatened to court order a follicular drug test (hair sample) to prove that she's an unfit mother/psychologically & morally-loose party whore w/a drug-prob. and lose custody of her children over to Kevin of all people (and hey what ever happened to just peeing in a cup???)
And you can't submit to a follicular drug test when you've just freshly mowed down your follicules....so Britney must've thought it was the cleverest of ideas (what drug fueled THAT brainstorm, I wonder??)
And when you observe her behavior before (crying in her car before going into the salon) and after (checking into rehab) her head shaving makes this reason make all the more sense. From all the wacky speculations I've heard of why she did it, I think this one (appears to) check out the most.

Honestly, I think it was a cry for help. She is going through a lot! Two young children, divorce, living life in the magazines/TV, and I think part of it could have been postpardom depression. I think everyone needs to give her a break.

Federline was trying to get the kids and he would claim that she is taking drugs, so she cut her hair so they can not take a hair sample to see if she is using them.

I don't see why everyone is so down on Britney. She was just trying to match her other well known shaving.

I think she cut her hair because they was giving her a drug test and she must of knew she was going to fail. that's why she cut it. And i think she having post par-tum depression. But either way, she crazy as hell.

She has some problems maybe with her self - esteem or maybe she just has some psychological problems. Maybe she's just a crack head like any other celebrity.
