Would you break up with your girl friend if you found out she was a stripper?

Ok I was wondering if guys out there would get rid of their girl if they found out she was a stripper. Wait there's more she is the mother of my children. There is lots of drama why we aren't together and we have been trying to work things out, but I just found out about this whole topless dancing thing and flipped out and said that if she does this then we simply can't be together.

We have been a part for about a year going through a long custody battle that isn't officially over.
She is a Registared Nurse, but quit over a month ago cause she had some Dr. boyfriend that she has been living with a state away who is way older then her. He recently paid for her boob job and says the stripping thing is a turn on.
She told me that she still loves me and wan't us to be together. She says she can't take the stress working at a hospital, but wants to find something more long term like a Dr. office and the bills have to be paid even though they aren't really due for another 2 or 3 weeks. I told her that I would help out, but I don't have the money for all her bills and I am not ready to jump back into living togher ... and to the last point I have the kids about 70 percent of the time so her stripping thing is when the kids are with me. So I am not about to leave the kids at home to some strip club.

I find it amazing that youve been with her long enough to have children and you never really knew her at all.
I wouldnt feel good at all about my woman being a stripper but I feel sorry for your woman because you obviously have been off in outer space all the time youve known her. No wonder you arent together. Shes better off without you.

Found out means she didin't tell you, which means that she doesn't trust you. She's not living with you, is trying to pay bills, and maybe didn't feel comfortable telling you how she did it. Did she take care of your babies? Why wouldn't she share this with you? Just fyi-i've roomed with several strippers, and they've all been into drugs, sex for hire, and other ****. Although I know there are good ladies out there just trying to make some money for their college edu/kids/sick mom, etc, that hasn't been MY experience. Are you scared of that? What about her stripping bothers you? Nudity, other men, exposure to sleeze, what if you went and watched? It could be a great experience, and might fire up your relationship. You might find it exciting to watch her dance, knowing she is doing it for you, and even though other men are watching, she's going home with you.... Just an idea! :)

It seems to me that things weren't working out BEFORE you found out about her new found occupation...

There are many 'strippers' out there who are in quite serious relationships...and not uncommon to be married. Yeah, they dance nekkid...however, it's been my observation from working in such clubs that women who work in this environment will rarely see anyone who is a customer. I always wonder why women complain about boyfriends/husbands going to these clubs...they have a better chance of getting laid at a church bazaar.

I think this relationship has had it...and stripping had nothing to do with it.

You should ask yourself why is she working as a stripper. Is it for the money? She could be desparate for money and that is why she is doing this. It is not an easy job because of the odd hours and that she has children to look after also. So don't try to judge so much but emphatise with her instead.

If you can live with the fact, then keep her...
If you feel it is a disrespect to your family or life, then dump her...
Then again, is she a good mother? does she take good care of the kids? If so, she might be a keeper, even if she does that side job.

I'm not a guy....but what would really bother me was that she kept this a secret.

Secrets & relationships don't go together. Even though you're not married you have children together....my suggestion is to get some couples counseling.

if it bothers you and she isn't willing to change professions then yes you should break up. my question to you is are you willing to support her while she tries to find a different job? if not what options have you left her with? if you were trying to work things out then maybe you could just add this to the list of things to work on. just a thought. best of luck

well I really don't want to be the person to convince you to break up your marriage but I would definetly not want to get involved with a stripper. Who knows how many guys have groped her already. And her children can get the wrong idea that it's right and grow up to be strippers too or something of that matter. U know what I mean....Maybe counseling will help? Tell her marriage is about sacrifice and she should be thinking of her family.

I understand your feeling. I don't understand a man that would want his wife or girlfriend out there naked for anyone to see. I know there are dancers out there that don't see anything wrong with it. However she is the mother of your childen what do you think they will think when they find out. Its just a matter of time and they will. I think you should just be a good Dad to your children and let her go. What she is doing is just one step away from prostitution.
