Anyway, in Southeast Asia there are lots of islands.

And the country with the most islands is Indonesia.

It is the biggest Archipelago in the world.

Inhabited? how? a couple of families or towns. In Europe in the first case it would be Finland and in the second case it would be Greece. World wide on both counts it is the Indonesian archipelago that is way ahead of everybody else.

I always thought it was the Philippines with 7000 plus islands in the archipelago.

Statistically I do not know. However wouldn't Polynesia be one of them? Poly=many - a Greek prefix and nissos -another Greek word- means island.
