How is today’s Information Revolution changing the economy once again?

Prior to the Industrial Revolution, the population was like 95% (I'm guessing as to the exact %age) rural and agrarian. There was a huge influx of people to the cities for higher paying jobs.
The Info Rev is requiring higher levels of education, less manual labor and greater technology skills.
