You can cut the outer side seams and put fabric you like and sew it to it, you can add a lot or a little.

Turn the pants inside out. Put them on. Mark the knee with a pen or chalk. Cut up the outside seam to the marked point. measure the length of the mark to the bottom of the pant leg. Cut a triangular piece of fabric making sure it is about 1 inch longer than what you measured. stitch the triangular piece to the open seam. hem the bottom and you should now have a flare pant leg. repeat process for other leg.

The only way I could think is to cut the inner or outer seems of the bottoms of the pants and put whatever color or type of material in the place in-between--this is much harder to explain than I thought--its possible but might be easier to buy flared pants...good luck

cut along the seam, then sew in a piece of fabric, whatever you think would look good. Lace, leather, more denim etc. It isn't that hard; all of the stuff you need is available at walmart. You won't even need a sewing machine; you can use quikbond if you are careful about washing.

You´d have to add triangular pieces of cloth at the seams. Depending on the material it would look really fashion.
