To this date, there is no standard definition of "critical thinking". Mathematicians, scientists, economists, political scientists, religious groups, and educators have proselytized their concept of "critical thinking"; yet, none have been capable of defining it.
As a parent, I challenge my children to consider the possibility of everything. As a teacher, I challenge my students to do the same. Every action has a consequence. To me, the consequence (consequences) of action requires some thinking; not necessarily affecting natural curiosity or creativity.
