We just switched from Time Warner to DIRECTV. They told us Science and CW channels are on high def but they're not. That's very disappointing. With Time Warner, we got HD programs on every TV without buying an expensive receiver.

We have both Directv and cable. We only use the cable for our Roadrunner though. We don't have many problems with Directv but when there are really bad storms it cuts out the satelite signal and then we may decide to use the cable, but most of the time if the satelite signal goes out so does our electricity so we really can't have the tv on then anyway.

I have had trouble with keeping satellite signal before so I really prefer Time Warner. Support takes a long time to reach but is good, equipment is rented not bought so may not be quite is good but they upgrade replace as needed plus have similarly priced DVR per month and it makes my only option for broadband, cable cheaper.

I personally like DIRECT TV better. They have a lot of resources and are not as monopolized as Time Warner is, so they have to compete for the best offered services.

i would rather have time warner cuz it is digital cable and direvtv is a dish and i hate them cuz when it rains it says signal has been lost and cable only goes out when someone hits the pole its on and brakes the wire lol
