I doubt it. A court of law would see that she made sacrifices to help raise you, like all parents (and step parents do). I'm sure there are two sides to this story.

Well considering she was your STEPmom your father had to have married her so why aren't you placeing blame on him for not stepping up and giving his wife hell for treating you the way she did...you were afterall HIS biological child...he should have been concerned of how you were treated in his home. Want to sue someone then go after your father...it was HIS duty to make sure you had a loving/supportive home.

sure you can sue anybody for anything; but don't be surprised when she has a countersuit for the stress you have caused her.....and since you are 17, putting a price on the stress a teenager causes will be in the hundreds of millions of dollars

this is such a sue happy world we live in ..... no one takes responsibility for their own actions......the have to put them off on someone else, and then say will if I didn't come form a broken home, i would not be a drug addict, unwed and pregnant, alcoholic......Guess what ppl. YOU CANNOT blame your parents for your sorry butt decisions. You know yourself that you made those decisions to hurt them......well you accomplished that....but you also hurt yourself, and your reputation as well....but you are ultimately the one who has to pay for YOUR decisions........so boy and girls GROW UP.....STOP BLAMING everyone around you take responsibility.....this country is turning into a bunch of pansies because of ppl like you.

Hon, you can sue anyone for anything, anytime. The probability that you will collect anything (but bills from an attorney) are nil. This kind of thing is regarded as a"frivolous law suit".

No i dont think so... You need counseling and help to get past the pain of this though so you can learn to live and move on with your life and be happy down the road. You need to learn to take the high road in this case and forgive and move on and not let it affect your life anymore. We are not held responsible for what happens to us BUT we are held accountable for how we respond.

Where was your father in all of this?
He should be the one you sue for letting you and your sister live under those circumstances.
She wasn't responsible for you....he was.
