Given f(x) = 2x^2-16x+24. Draw the graph of f(x) and find:

a.) the vertex

b.) the domain of f(x) (in interval notation)

c.) the range of f(x) (in internval notation)

a)The vertex is -b/2a for the x-coordinate. So it's
-(-16)/2(2)=4, then put it back into the equation
for x in order to get the y-coordinate.
2(4)^2-16 (4)+24=-8. The vertex is (4,-8)
Put 3 in for x to get the y-value for one point on
the parabola. Then put 2 in for x to get the
second point. Use symmetry to get two more
points and you have the graph.
b) The domain is (-infinity, infinity)
c) The range is [-8, infinity)
