I'm assuming you mean "faith" as defined in Hebrews 11:1 in the Bible.Scientists, who are predominately agnostic or atheistic, have a lot of faith in this sense, believe it or not. They, for instance, have unwavering faith that the laws of physics we have discovered experimenting here on tiny Earth are applicable and hold throughout the entire gigantic universe with out a shred of "hands on" evidence to prove it. We have, "just a moment ago" gone to the moon only! The whole of cosmology has been developed upon this faith. Without fervid faith there is no hope and then why go on?
Perhaps that is why that in the USA today depression and suicide are epidemic in our young; maybe because they have lost their faith!

Faith means many different things to many different people. When I hear the word "faith," I usually think of blind faith. Blind faith, in my opinion, is not only unwise, but can be extremely dangerous. The other kind of faith is knowledgeable faith. You've seen what can happen under certain circumstances, and therefore, you have faith that it will happen again. There isn't any proof that it will happen, only your belief. That's what makes it faith.

Faith is the unrelenting belief in something that cannot be proven. Faith is also what is asked of you when the asker has no proof to provide you with in order to convince you to accept what they say as truth.
I have faith that the only thing I can count on others to do without fail is... Disappoint me.

Well, there's faith and then there's Faith.
We all have faith that tomorrow we'll... whatever it is we have to do and expect to do. That is faith on a natural level. Such as when I take the car to be repaired, I have faith that I'm not going to be ripped off, because I know the mechanic and I trust him. Ooops, there's the faith word again.
But Faith is more than the natural experience all of us have.
Faith refers to him who is higher than us. In a thunder storm as we watch the lightning or watch the sea pound and pound on the shore, something in us seems to know that there is one who is all powerful, one who is more, much more than we are, He who made all that is, He who holds it all in being.
A part of us acknowledges him, knows him and is connected with him, whether we know it or aware of it or not.
The part of us that is blown away by the storm or the beauty
of our child and responds, answers in Faith to him who is more than we are.
