Sims 2 PC: How do you make a party more interesting?

How do you make the party really good? I've invited all my neighbors with the mailbox option, but as far as I got was "Not Bad". Any suggestions? Thanks

Make sure you have a stereo and dance with the party attendants, this will increase your score.

Have the stereo playing in the room where everyone is basically going to be at, have food already out (Buffet table or ordered food), talk to the guests, hot tub (But not if you have seasons as that can lead to heatstroke and death), dance with guests, make sure all the guests get along (so they can talk and dance with each other), have something happening (Weddings, golden anniversaries, birthdays all are good party boosters when they happen) make sure no disasters happen such as fires and fights, and lastly I would recommend doing small parties before you attempt a large one as small parties are easy to handle than others.

With wedding parties, I always invite couples who are either married, engaged, or simply madly in love, so that their romantic interactions will up the score. Make sure that you get as many positive interactions as possible among everyone, and don't invite Sims who you know like annoying or picking fights with others. A good strategy is to invite members of one family.

Other good strategies are to have music, a hot tub, and lots of food. Have plenty of bathrooms, especially if you bought wine for the Sims to toast the newlyweds.

It really helps when you have a hot tub in your back yard with lots of food and music. If it's a wedding party, the champagne bottle works good too...
