I used myspace in the past and recently heard from someone that it could mess ur computer up, like slow it down, give u viruses, and stuff like that, is this true? If you can give me some resources please do so...thanks alot

well ive had the same computer for eight years, im alwaysss on myspace, and my computer has been running perfectly since I got it...so im gonna say its PERFECTLY safe...but there are some things that CAN mess up ur computer...NEVER click on the ads on MySpace...and when you want to do something and it sends you to the page where it says "You must be signed on to do this" and you have to sign back on, go to Myspace.com and sign on there because sometimes it redirect you to a page that really isnt myspace and it maybe a password theif.

I have a myspace and it hasn't messed up my computer. The only thing that has made my computer go slow from that website is when someone has alot of stuff on their profile. Also, I have never gotten any spam from myspace.

It is not Myspace that is the problem, it must be that you are downloading from other sites or opening email attachments. ;)

it's harmless to your computer. the spam is getting out of control though. you are going to get some in your email inbox.
