If so who are you or they descended from? Supposedly i am of viking descent

i am, from both sides, which, ironically, are british. both sides of my family (mom:scottish/dad:english) came from areas that were invaded by the norse. they married into the native populations there, and i reckon that's why i'm so deathly pale and blonde.

The vikings was a word used to refer to people that acted in a specific way around 1200 years ago and spoke a common language. Most of them lived in parts of modern Norway, Sweeden, Denmark and Iceland.

People who's ancestors are from those countries can claim "Viking" decent.
