Hi all. Im in Calculus I and I'm having a little trouble with implicit differentiation. My course is online so I don't have access to an immediate instructor. My specific problems are recognizing when to apply the product rule and chain rule. Then after I get that figured out, I'm not sure how the addition is adding up after plugging in the (x,y) factors. Here is an example of one that is stumping me.
The point: (pi/4, -pi/4)...
implicitly defined by: cos(x+y)-xy= 1 + ( (pi^2) /16)
