On December 6, 2006, following an unsuccessful rematch, WWE.com announced that Wight is taking time off from the ring to heal injuries he has sustained during wrestling in ECW. In an interview he said quote, "I’m a raw-boned bastard that breaks things and moves the immovable objects. When I’m injured, I can’t do those things. I’m much more valuable healthy both mentally and physically, and this hiatus will help me to get there." At the end of February, Wight´s contract with WWE expired and was not renewed by Wight´s choice.[citation needed]

Wight is now training hard, and has lost 50 lbs. since his absence from WWE

Kurt Angle is reportedly trying to get Wight to come to TNA, but first he would have to come up with a different name since WWE owns the names "The Giant" and "Big Show". Wight said that going to TNA is not totally out of the picture, but what he wants to do is work with his good friend Hulk Hogan again

Big Show is no longer under contract with WWE, he took the time off to recuperate some nagging injuries.

Heyman was removed from his post ar ECW because Vince needed somebody to blame for ECW's failure, poor December to Dismember PPV, even though Vince has the final say on everything that appears on TV.

Heyman was released from his run of ECW, he's still under contract, but not being utilized. He's just kind of waiting out his tenure in WWE. The reason he's in the position of malignant power right now is because the first ECW PPV drew the least money of any WWE PPV in history.

To my knowledge, Show hasn't quit. I could be wrong, but as far as I know, he's recovering from back surgery. He was really a hoss to go as long as he did. You could tell he was in pain, it was reminiscent of Andre's last days in wrestling.

Heyman quit because after the Dec. 2 Dismember he saw what Vince was up to and that was trying to destroy ECW
