It is a meteorite. A meteoroid is space debris before it enters the atmosphere and a meteor is what it is called as it enters the atmosphere. Once it hits the ground it is called a meteorite.

Meteorite. It's a a meteor untill it hits the earth. I don't know what you would call it if it were man made and simply fell from orbit. scrap metal I suppose.
