March in the Philippines signifies summertime. During summer, almost everything gets dried fast due to the intense heat of the sun, making even some of tree varieties to ignite causing forest fires.

As for houses, offices, or buildings getting on fire, fires spread much faster therefore harder to contain during summer when everything is hot and dry. Add to this, the fact that water bodies dry up lowering the water level of water sources required by firetrucks to stop the spread of fire.
