It depends on the guy. My brother, who is almost two years older than I am, was shorter than my 5'6 1/2" until he hit a growth spurt late in his junior year of high school. Then he kept on growing until he hit around 6'. His sons were the same way, so it might be something genetic. My son had one growth spurt in junior high and another when he was 15 or so. He continued to grow even into his freshman year at college, but I think he has stopped at 6'4".

Two words ----------GROWTH HORMONES! They have to mature. Growth in males can come during any phase. I had a friend that grew five inches taller in three months at age 15. It depends on the person.
