Will Phillip Spaulding (Grant Aleksander) be returning to the show in 2007? Will the real Phillip ever return? I would love to seen him return, I no he was brought up in a few episodes in 2006.

The announcement in August 2004 that Aleksander was let go by the show came as a great shock to fans and to the industry. Media reports suggested a number of reasons, including Aleksander's high salary, and allegations that Aleksander was temperamental, or had been feuding with the actress who portrayed his love interest.
It initially appeared that Phillip was murdered in November, 2004, but a subsequent story in 2005 revealed that the character was alive. Although Aleksander had nothing but positive things to say about the show during his departure, subsequent attempts by producers to have him return in 2005 and 2006 have been declined.

I also hope that GA will someday return to the show. I think he is a very talented actor and the show has missed his presence since he left. Although I didn't like how his character was written off the show, it was some of the finest acting of his career. I periodically check the web to see if he might come back to GL. Nothing yet, but hopefully at some point he will return.

I highly doubt that Grant will come back to the show. It would be great if he did. No one (IMO) can play Phillip like he did.
He had such a great chemistry with Beth and Rick and Lizzie and even Alan.....GL is my alltime favorite soap...I've watched for almost 25 years now and I always get royally pi&&ed off when CBS shows the basketball playoffs instead of the afternoon stories...Grrrrrr! :)

Alan went to reformatory and commenced spouting how Phillip become alive so every person theory he become loopy and Alan become instituiionalized. became out Phillip become alive, that Rick helped conceal his loss of life and Alan locked him away. Phillip escapes his confinement and disappears for years. Alan in no way does a appropriate penance for his crime yet with the eminent loss of life of the teach in September i wish they're going to ultimately positioned Alan away for the various crimes he has dedicated. -S
