Go to NADA.com look up the value of your car. Depending on the insurance company they will total the car if the repairs and materials exceed 50%. Some companies go to 70-80%.

My 2005 Ford Focus was just totaled. It's NADA value is 9500.00 to 1050.00 (you also have to account for wear and mileage etc.) I owe 7000.00 so once the loan is paid I will get the cash difference.

The adjusters typically use computer programs that calculate the cost of parts and labor. The majority of the cost is in labor.

You should have the option to buy the car from the insurance company and you could fix it yourself. (This is typically not wise unless you're mechanically inclined.) The analogy I was told is that it's like bending a wire coat hanger. You can bend it back but it's never the same.

I hope this helps.

well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it probably is. If it got hit hard enough to buckle the quarter panels up to the rear doors then yes chances are that it's totalled. if it only got your tail lights and trunk lid and bumper then you might have a chance because your car is so new

Sounds like a right off, I definitely would not want it back after something that bad fixed. Your insurance adjuster will tell you soon enough.
